Police have charged a 16-year-old boy with a number of offences following investigations into a break and enter that occurred in Forest Lake on March 26.
It will be alleged that around 3am, the residents of a Freshwater Circuit home heard a noise in their garage. The male resident confronted a juvenile in his garage and a physical altercation ensued, with the resident receiving injuries as a result.
Police arrived shortly after, and the juvenile boy was arrested and charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, wilful damage and enter dwelling with intent.
Police are also investigating further reports of break and enters in Forest Lake and Heathwood suburbs over recent days.
Hinchinbrook Cct, Forest Lake – Between 11.30pm March 23 and 6am March 24, a house was entered through an unlocked window with purse, keys, sunglasses and handbag targeted. These items were later recovered.
