Reporting information properly helps us to help you

These days community members commonly stay connected and communicate with one another via social media. What police are seeing more and more are threads relating to crime issues in the community asking other members whether or not particular behaviours/ actions/ sounds/ events are suspicious or not, and what subsequent action they should take.
So to clear things up, Centenary Police urge residents to report anything suspicious to Policelink or your local station straight away. This enables police to determine the relevance of the information in context with local crime issues. Please don’t rely on other community members to tell you whether something may be pertinent to police.
Police would also like to remind locals not to report crimes on community pages. If a crime is occurring and you are in danger call Triple Zero (000). If you are not in immediate danger call Policelink or Crime Stoppers.
