A boy has been charged following the alleged assault of a man in Acacia Ridge overnight.
At 8.25pm, a man was talking on a phone outside a business on Beaudesert Rd when he was approached by a boy.
Police will allege that the boy then stabbed the man in the back with a knife before fleeing the scene.
The man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
A boy was taken into custody a short time later.
A 12-year-old Pallara boy has been charged with one count of wounding.

Forest Lake crime snapshot, Friday April 7
Police are again reminding residents in the Forest Lake and surrounding areas to be vigilant with home and vehicle security measures after break and enters and vehicle thefts were reported this week.
At approximately 10.15am on Thursday, April 6 a house was entered in Leichhardt Cct, Forest Lake via unlocked rear doors. The resident was home at the time and observed two male persons within the homes. The resident dogs gave chase, causing the offenders to leave in a hurry, however offenders managed to grab a handbag and contents on their way out. Police are continuing to investigate this matter and would like to speak to a person described as being approximately 15-years-old, Aboriginal in appearance, slim build, wearing a black ‘Westside’ t-shirt with white writing, dark shorts and dark shoes.
In other Forest Lake news, a 2001 Silver Nissan Pulsar with South Australian registration plates s409AUU was stolen from a front yard in Mannix Street on Sunday, April
