Must-Not-Miss for the Kids: Spooky Scavengers Hunt for Halloween at Mt Ommaney Centre

Looking for a ghostly fun experience for the kids during the spookiest time of the year? Mt Ommaney Centre has a thrilling activity coming up for little ghosts and witches via the three-day Spooky Scavengers Hunt this Halloween!

From 27 to 29 October 2022, Mt Ommaney Centre will hold guided tours for kids 12 years old and below who will enjoy looking for a trail of Halloween surprises outside Target. The children are expected to come in their scariest and most entertaining costumes as they check out what treats the retailers have prepared behind their doors. 

The tours are scheduled every 30 minutes at the following times:

27 October 2022
5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
28 October 2022
10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
*Highly recommended for children under 5 years old
29 October 2022
10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Spooky Scavengers hunters are asked to come 10 minutes prior to their chosen schedule to collect their Halloween bucket, clue sheet and participant’s wristband. When they find all the clues at the end of the tour, they will receive a goody bag.

Aside from Spooky Scavengers, Mt Ommaney Centre will also have a FREE Freaky Face Painting session outside Target at these schedules:

Thursday, 27 October 20224:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, 29 October 20229:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 

Kids and their families must come earlier if they want to avail of the face painting before the hunt.

11:00 a.m.Designed for teens, young adults and moms, you’ll learn how to maximise style using just 10 key pieces in your wardrobe. 
Catwalk to Closet

1:00 p.m.Love trendy and fashionable pieces but scared of wearing them in public? You’ll pick up wonderful tips at this session on how to turn haute couture into attractive everyday pieces.

Ms Hendriks will also teach you how to create a capsule wardrobe. If you’re not sure what this is, then you’ve got more reason to be at the workshop!

Macrame Planter Workshop

When: Thursday 19 Sept 2019
Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Where: Open space beside Specsavers, opposite Crema Espresso
Fee: $25 per person

Unleash your creativity and learn a new skill at this Macrame Planter Workshop. Macrame is the art of knotting strings or cords to come up with a decorative piece.

Circus Spectacular

See live stunts and breath-taking performances from aerial acrobatics and flying trapeze artists. This event will include workshops for those interested in learning some basics of circus performing.

Mount Ommaney now has the perfect spot for all your Asian cuisine cravings as 8 Street opens at Mt Ommaney Centre.

8 Street is an Asian hawkers market style street food precinct designed with traditional Asian architecture. Stalls are structured with wooden fixtures and customers can see the food being prepared whilst they watch.
