DFO Jindalee Stage 2 Completed with 60 Retailers, New Cinema and Fresh Markets

Residents of the suburbs around Centenary have a new and convenient lifestyle precinct to regularly visit as the second stage of DFO Jindalee has been completed.

On Boxing Day, DFO Jindalee marked the completion with the opening of the six-theatre, state-of-the-art leisure site, Reading Cinemas. It’s the first cinema complex to open in the suburbs in 60 years.

The expansive movie house features a TITAN LUXE cinema with immersive Dolby Atmos surround sound, a reclining option on every seat in every auditorium facing a 23m screen, wider platforms throughout the cinemas for added customer comfort, and a bar and lounge area.

Reading Cinemas is the wonderful trimming complementing the cafes and restaurants at DFO Jindalee’s dining precinct and a suitable segue for shoppers at the retail sites, who might want a few hours of respite at the movies.

“DFO Jindalee was originally created to focus on outlet shopping, but this redevelopment has improved the centre to deliver premium leisure, sports and fashion brand outlets, plus an entertainment and dining precinct that will offer so much more to the customers who travel as far away as Toowoomba to regularly visit and shop,” Development spokesperson Michael Tree, Director of Asset Management for Trident Advisory Group, said.

“Stage 2 will complete the centre with the new Reading Cinemas complex; new lighting and skylights over a simplified floor plan and redirected shopping flow; the first fresh food retailer at the centre in Amazons Family Fresh Markets; plus a new dining precinct with fresh external green space/landscaping; to result in 60 specialty and dining retailers plus four major retailers (Nike, Goodlife, BCF and Reading Cinemas) and over 900 car parks.“

Reading Cinemas to Open Most Advanced Complex in Jindalee

For the past six decades, Centenary locals have driven to neighbouring suburbs like Indooroopilly, Graceville or Redbank for movie time as there hasn’t been any cinema opening in this part of the suburban westside. That will soon change when Reading Cinemas opens on Boxing Day in Jindalee!

Dubbed the most advanced cinema complex in Australia, Reading Cinemas in Jindalee will be the very first movie house in Queensland to feature fully reclining seats in every auditorium.

The Jindalee cinema site, found inside the redeveloped DFO property, will have six screens, the latest digital projection equipment, and reclining seats that will make the viewing experience a lot more enjoyable.

The premium cinema seats deliver options for food and drinks to be ordered once the moviegoers are seated inside the theatre.

Mark Douglas, the managing director of Reading Australia, said that they are proud to open this new site despite a disruptive time, as going to the movies allows for some bonding time with friends and families.

Interested movie watchers may now book tickets online for Wonder Woman 1984, which will screen on Boxing Day, along with Superintelligence, The Croods: A New Age and The Witches.
